JWC of Raleigh is a non-profit, civic organization for women committed to promoting volunteerism, improving our community, and fostering new friendships. Under the auspices of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of North Carolina, the JWC was formed in 1928. JWC of Raleigh emphasizes citizenship and provides opportunities for leadership development, personal growth, and networking through community involvement. Being a member of our club will offer you the opportunity to learn from a variety of speakers about topics that are impacting our community.
Come and visit our club to see how you can make a difference in our community. Participate in an assortment of projects including many hands-on activities, which offer enriching experiences to our membership. A few recent projects include:
• Supporting our schools’ literacy programs
• Visiting after-school care centers for at-risk children
• Holiday visits to area nursing homes
• Beautification of Brookhaven Park
• Organizing the NC State Tree Lighting & Holiday Celebration
• Filling Salvation Army stockings
• Providing dental kits for Operation Smile
