Description

The Education department is one of many departments women can participate as a member of the Junior Womans Club. The Education Department focuses on the 3 key categories below in the Programs section.

Some of the organizations we support are Loaves and Fishes, Ms. Victors learning disabled classroom at Hunter Elementary in downtown Raleigh. and sponsorship of a woman for the Tammy Lynn Center.

The Sally Southall Cotton Scholarship is another way we promote education. It is a scholarship for high school seniors that excel in education, leadership skills and extra curricular activities.  Winners may receive up to $2,500 and the chance to compete at the JWC State level. Please see the detailed information on the Scholarships page for more info on the Sally Southall Cotton Scholarship.

Epsilon Sigma Omicron (ESO) is an honorary educational society that challenges women to read outside of their comfort level. ESO is a federation-supported program and is open to all GFWC clubwomen and the entire club is encouraged to join.

How do you join? Contact the ESO Chairman to receive the ESO guidelines and kit.
