Join the Woman's Club of Raleigh's Conservation Department in the Big Sweep Clean Up! Volunteers meet at 9:00 am at Beaver Dam Lake.  All supplies are furnished, but volunteers should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent.  Snacks and drinks will be provided. 

Falls Lake at Beaver Dam Lake on Old Weaver Road Access Point

Directions from Highway 98:  Travel east on NC 98 from the intersection of NC 98 Creedmoor Road (NC 50) to New Light Road about 1 mile.  Turn left and travel north on New Light Road 3.3 miles.  Turn left onto Old Weaver Road and travel about 1.5 miles.  Cross the causeway - Beaver Dam is on the left.  Take the next left onto access road to the lake.  Look for Big Sweep banner for supply distribution.

Directions from Highway 50:  Go 5.9 miles north of Highway 98 intersection.  Turn right on Old Weaver Road.  Go east 2.4 miles.  Turn right on the access road to Beaver Dam Lake.  Look for Big Sweep banner.  If you've gone to Beaver Dam Lake at Falls Lake State Recreational Area (i.e. state park), you're in the wrong place!  Your help is needed in this remote area of Beaver Dam Lake on Old Weaver Road.  Please turn around and join us!

Bring yard tools and gloves for Brookhaven clean up.  Also feel free to bring your children and/or spouse. Meet at 2:15, following Conservation Department meeting.
