Departments

We have six departments to choose from in JWC of Raleigh, so you can decide which suits you best and where you feel you can make the most impact while having a great time!  You will be part of each department for one club year, and then you can change to a different one, or stay on and possibly chair next year.

Departments are where you really get to meet your fellow club members and begin to develop new friendships!  New club members are welcome to join in at any departmental event, in fact, it's encouraged.  Each department meets with its members throughout the club year to discuss projects, finalize details and perform community service within their program areas.  Each department chair also gives a report at each of our General Meetings, so that the entire club can hear how the JWC of Raleigh made a difference in our communities, as well as hear about upcoming activities of service!

Our six departments are:

  • Arts
  • Conservation
  • Education
  • Home Life
  • International and Public Affairs
